Earlier Activities

In May 1966, the Malayan Astrological Society invited the late Mr Krishnamurthi Padhdhati (KP), the founder of the Stellar Astrological Research Institute in India, to give astrological talks in Kuala Lumpur. A series of twenty lectures (20) were conducted by the world famous astrologer. Kuala Lumpur was the first city the astrologer had visited outside India. KP is well renowned for his discovery and propagation of predictive astrology based on stellar position of planets and the sub-lord theory system. Due credit should be given to the founder members of the Malayan Astrological Society for initiating the formation of an astrological society and for successfully bringing in KP in enhancing the stellar predictive system in Malaya then.

In 1977, the Society officially celebrated its Silver Jubilee. To mark the celebration, a team of 2 prominent Astrologers from Hyderabad were invited; Guruji Puvaneswara Rao, the president and founder of Universal Research Institute and Sri Babu Rao, the principal of the said organisation to conduct a series of courses on KP’s Sub-Lord Theory for the benefit of members.

In December 2000, the late Vidwan Laksmanan from Chennai conducted an 11 day-course on traditional Hindu astrology. Vidwan was then the National President of the Indian Council of Astrological Sciences (ICAS) and had with him 55 years experience as a consultant practitioner in traditional Hindu astrology.

In May, 2006, a 4 day session on advanced astrology on selective topics were again organised. The course was conducted by a well known experienced astrologer from Chennai, Mrs Meenakshi Alagappan.
